I'm still getting multipath on one channel(53 digital) with the 4225. Should I try a 91 XG? I thought I read where Rick0275 says it is one of the best for multipath. I have wind and trees! When the wind is fairly calm my signal is fine.

In the front the trees are uphill from the antenna and behind they are level with it. I have the 91XG comining today. Should I tilt it up in front some? How critical is antenna movement? I'm using four 5 foot Channel Master mast sections but the antenna mount is less than 5 feet from the top. The base is in the ground. I could use rigid 1 inch or 1 1/4 inch pipe to really stiffen everything if necessary.

is there a spot that the antenna can be mounted and aimed where the leaves/coverage is less. also the setup with 4 five foot sections of mast does not turn me on. can you locate an extendable mast instead. pipe also works ok.

you need to stablize the mounting system tightly so the entire system does not move during wind gusts.

you can try to angle the antenna up...start around 10 degrees and see if the signal strength improves. only problem...one channel may improve and another gets worse.

when you assemble the antenna the arrow on the elements face the front of the antenna.

enclosed are the instructions in case they are not in the box.

I found a shop that carries 10 foot mast pipe to replace the 5 fotters so less joints/flexibility or I can just get 1 1/4 galvanized electrical pipe. Thanks for the instructions on the XG 91. It has some parts eh?

If multipath is your problem, the XG-91 will probably tame it, but, as Rick said, tilt it up in the front about 10 degrees or so: higher if there is a ridge that is visible to you between you and the transmitters.

I got the XG 91 mounted on 1 1/4 inch galvanized pipe. Haven't even tweaked it and every channel is working. No wind right now though.

Had a couple days of strong winds and the XG 91 and HDP 269 combo works great! As long as the wind is under 20 mph the signal is very good.

Yup, you'll need to resize the image. Max is 800x800.
