I need help with reception.

My combo 91xg & Y5-7-13 with a Pico UVSJ, my TVfool http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...cc4969bee36492. I also add a preamp CPA-19 in order to get NBC from New York and improve the signal in summer. No problems until Sandy. Last week I started to get in the evening pixelization, it was bad with the heavy fog ABC 7 was black for 2 second when I do have a strong signal over 80%. Last Tuesday i pulled down the CPA-19 and still happening, something the picture tears the audio is bad for seconds. Without the CPA-19 I can't get NBC from the city and a few channels, ION, they are weak o gone depending the weather.

I checked everything, maybe the UVSJ went bad....

It sounds like you've ruled out the preamp, now just keep racking things out, until you find the culprit.

Did you use boots and silicone grease on your connections?
Did heavy winds change the direction of the antennae?

yes I use boots and Wheatherproof from Kano, the high wind moved the 91xg 35 degree,

You need a rotor - one point of aim is not going to get it from your location..
Reception depends upon reflection, refraction, diffraction - and you cannot accurately predict from one day to the next - which direction your signals are coming from - which is why your signals changes from one season to the next.

thank you, I was searching for wireless rotor, I think someone in the forum mention a wireless good one. I will leave the project for a better day New England weather now is freezing..

A channel master / RCA rotor is only about $89.00 and you can buy the cable for about another $25.00
If you already have the coax ran - running the small 3 conductor cable - isn't going to be all that much of a hardship...
If you do not have access - call a electrician, have them run it for you.
Its no big deal..
