Default Lava 2605 HDTV Antenna - Any Good?

So just as the title says, is this Lava 2605 HDTV Antenna any good? They seem to promise a whole lot of things and makes the Channel Master 4228HD look like junk.

I don't see this being better than the CM 4228HD, though I could be wrong. Opinions Please

You're not wrong. The spec for the Lava antenna seems to disguise preamp gain and antenna gain as the same thing. In my opinion that crosses the line between advertising puffery and misleading engineering.

Different variants of that antenna have made their way around for the past 2-3 years. Come on...150 mile range? It is a cheap gimmick, just read the reviews to hear what kind of troubles people are having.

ANYTHING from Lava (chinese company) isn't a good antenna.

As the old saying goes: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I find it supremely ironic that these charlatan antennas are advertized on this and other similar forums all the while being railed against herein as nothing more than Chinese junk.
