Default Twin Cities, MN antenna help

I just got an LST-3510A HD receiver and HD TV last week. The salesman recommended a RCA ANT706A (it has inline 10 db amplification) antenna which I mounted in the rafters of my garage, aimed in the direction of the towers as listed at antennaweb.org (my zip is 55347)

Most of the time, my signal is fine. I do get occassional glitches on most channels. The ABC affiliate, however, is horrible - despite the fact that according to antennaweb.org it's the same direction and distance from my house as the other stations. The signal will be at ~75% and then drop way down to ~10%.

I want to eliminate the glitches and get a decent signal on the ABC affiliate and still have the antenna mounted in my garage rafters. Any suggestions? Antennaweb.org recommends a small multi directional antenna but I seem to have more than tha already...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have never had any success when mounting an outdoor antenna in the rafters of my home. I re-oriented this antenna on the roof and that solved my signal problem. The signals from all the channels were all coming from the same transmitting tower.
