7.1 effect over Optical or Digital Coax?
My receiver does not allow for HDMI pass through. It does allow for Optical or Digital Coax. Can I get the 7.1 effect of TrueHD over Optical or Digital Coax from a Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray player? I know it will not be true lossless quality, but can I push 7 discrete channels of audio over either Optical or Digital Coax?
