Yellow tint when playing dvd player through 1080i Mitsubishi

I purchased a blu ray player and get yellow tinted picture when played via component cables. I returned it and was told my 1080i was not compatible. I was told to try an upconvert dvd player. I did that and have the same problem. The picture via HD cable is flawless. I don't have an HDMI on my tv but I do have dvi. WOuld HDMI to dvi solve my problem? ANy suggestions???

Sounds like you need to calibrate your component input. A calibration disc like Avia or DVE used on all inputs of your TV would get the picture you want.
