Unhappy Samung DLP with Onkyo 605. Annoying delay in audio when changing channels.

All--

I am a happy owner of Samsung DLP HLP-5085W rear projection TV and a recently bought Onkyo 605 AV receiver. I am also using Comcast's Motorola HD set top box 6400 series. Both the set top box and the TV are connected to the Onkyo via HDMI. Sound is from 5.1 channel JLB speaker system. Everything is great except one annoying problem. Every time I change the channel (up or down), the picture comes on immediately of the changed channel but there is a good 2 to 3 seconds delay before the audio is heard through the speakers. There is absolutely no delay between the video and the audio itself but the delay in the audio is only when I change the channel. Not sure how to resolve this. I have gone through the Onkyo manual but no clue or hint why this is happening or how to sync up the video with the audio when changing channels.

Any help would be appreciated.

Unhappy

I control the operation of the TV, DVD and music through Logitech's Harmony remote. This is embarrassing but I tried to play the channel through the TV's speakers but that does not even work. Not even sure how to do this any more. So, I am sorry I cannot respond to your question as to whether the delay happens while playing through the TV's speakers or not.

That is indicative of the cable box and not your other equipment. Call your cable company and let them fix it.
