Default Motorola DTC-6200 (PiP not working)

I am trying to utilize my Motorola receiver with Cox cable to be able to use the PiP option to watch multiple football games. When I press the Picture in Picture On/Off button on my remote, nothing happens. Can anyone explain how to use this option. Thanks in advance.
