Panasonic announced its latest line of Blu-ray & DVD recorders in Japan. All models feature huge sized hard drives.

Panasonic introduces its latest line of Blu-ray & DVD recorders

The Blu-ray series is covered by 3 recorders, the BW700, BW800 & BW900. All with integrated hard drive storage that starts at 250GB & tops out at a massive 1TB.

But, the best thing about these new recorders is that they compress HD video at amazing rates, offering about 18 hours using a 50GB Blu-ray disc and up to an incredible 381 hours onto the 1TB hard drive.

Why even make a post about this when the site specifically states
"While there are no plans to release any of these models outside of Japan, we can expect to see something of this technology in the near future".
