Problem with external disk on a SA 8300HD. Help!

I have a big problem with my external hard drive connected to my SA 8300 HD.

The problem: When I watch an HD program, I see pixelization up to 15 times per hour, even when I watch the program recorded or live. When I disconnect any external hard drive, the problem disappears.

I begin to suspect the hard drive itself, but the problem was there with a Maxtor 300gig (6L300S0) and still there with a Seagate 500gig (ST3500630AS).

Originally I have an eSATA external case: KingWin SS-350S-BK from TigerDirect.ca. I try theses 2 hard drives in this case, the problem is there.

I change the external case for the Sabrent EC-ESTS always from TigerDirect.ca. Same thing, the problem is still there.

I need your input about this annoying situation. Someone successfully match a Maxtor 300gigs or a Seagate 500gigs with an external eSATA case on a SA 8300HD ???

Hi,

I have the same problem with the SA 8300 HD and and external HD from "Weaknees" 500G Maxtor. The installation was very simple but there is periodic pixelation. Did you find an answer?
