Blu Ray v Broadcast?

Hi - I have a very specific question for very specific circumstances please. I want to hear from people who have a 1080i/p monitor with a Blu Ray DVD player sending a 1080p signal to the monitor & Cable/Satellite sending 1080i to the same monitor. When you watch some of your favorite movies (that you know really well) how much different do they look from when you saw them on broadcast HD(1080i connection) compared to your Blu Ray (1080p) connection? If better - in what ways? Also, I would like to know what size monitor you are basing your comparisons on. PLEASE do not post unless you have first hand knowledge re: this specific question, thanks for your time & reviews! Deca
