Who here has a ROKU, and how well does it work?

I'm considering getting one. But I want to know others experiences
with them. How do you use your ROKU? How much does it cost you to use it? Do you still have cable, or did you cancel it?

hey TVJD4
I have the Roku XD/S. It works as advertised. I went with the XD/S for the dual band and more outputs. We use it for Pandora music (great) and Netflix streaming. Occasionally the HD signal pauses instead of playing continuously, but otherwise it works just fine. We reduced our Netflix disks down to 2 at a time instead of 3 because of the Roku.
As far a additional costs, Pandora is free and Netflix is included, so there is no additional charges for us. We do not do the other 40-50 channels.
I think it is worth the $60-$100 purchase price.

Does anyone else have a ROKU? What are your experiences with them?

Do they work good enough that you cancelled your cable service?

Are all models of ROKU the same? Is they any features worth paying more $$ for?

Got an XDS last week and so far so good. Use it for Netflix, Pandora, and Picassa so far. There are three models and you can see the differences at the Roku website. I do not intend to drop cable. It's not a replacement for that. Some services cost money. Others don't. We already pay for Netflix and get Amazon Video thru the Prime program. But Hulu Plus would be extra.
