Unhappy Mitsubishi WD-60737 - Flashing Red Light

Hello All,

Well I am just a little PISSED OFF! I went out today, after months of searching the reviews and finally decided to buy the Mit 60" DLP (WD-60737). So I get home, crack open the box and set it up and following the user manual, I start it up. The green light starts flashing really fast, the Welcome Screen comes up and Poof! It turns itself off and then I get a flashing Red Light. The remote is doing nothing, so per the manual here is what I did:
1. Reset the remote - nothing!
2. Unplugged the Power c\Cord, waited 30 seconds, plugged it back in, turned it on, green light flashing, Welcome screen, Poof, red flashing light!
3. Reset the power button on the control panel, restarted, green light flashing, Welcome screen, Poof, red flashing light!
4. HELP!

So, a BRAND NEW unti and it appears DOA! Can someone help me out??

Since this is a brand new TV, take it back to where you bought it from and get another one. You shouldn't have to do anything other than turn on a brand new TV.

Thanks, that is what I am in the process of doing. They are sending someone to "Look at it" today. I told them to put another TV on the truck so as not to waste their time. In the mean time, I was hoping to revitalize this one since I went through so ,much to get it! I even called Mitsubishi and they told me to; hold down the Activity button and the down channel button at the same time. It was suppose to cause something which would make the power light blink, but nothing ever happened. I tried to get them to admit it was a DOA, but all they would say is they would make a report and contact the store. I guess that's as close to an admittance of a DOA as I am going to get from them.

IN the mean time.... Can anyone think of something else to bring this TV to life, or is it a true DOA????????? Just a little, ok a LOT of Frustration!

Did some error checking with minimal help from Mitsubishi. The error code I received was #37, possible loose J5 connection, or so the Tech Manual says. Does anyone know how hard it would be to check that theroy? I would be willing provided I didn't need to dismantle the TV to do so. Any Help would be most appreciated!
