I'm very excited to announce that my new Pioneer VSX-819H-K receiver will arrive today!
![]() I'm sad to say that my 1.3 HDMI cables that I placed in the same order won't arrive until Thursday. ![]() My question is, if I set my receiver up tonight using my current non-1.3 HDMI cables, will it affect the the auto-calibration of the receiver? Should I wait until my new cables come in or does it even matter? |

Congrats on the new receiver purchase. What "version" are the HDMI cables you hae now or how old? My guess is you will be fine using them them for whatever you do. But definately won't affect the calibration portion as thatt is with the mic and speakers. With the calibration portion, speaker placement and getting the mic closest to you listning position/ear level is key.

Thanks for the info. I figured that it wouldn't matter, but didn't want to have to redo everything in a few days. |
