Default Onkyo TR-SX507 with Accoustimass 15

Hello All,

I recently got an Onkyo TX-SR507. I have had my Bose Accoustimass 15 for some time now. It always sounded great with my previous Sony receiver. I cant seem to nearly the same sound quality from the speakers with the Onkyo driving them. I am sure it is a mis config on my part at some point but I am getting quite frustrated with it.

The Bose dual cube speaker arrays are driven from the powered sub. I was thinking about connecting the speakers directly to the Onkyo to see what would happen. Before I do this I was wondering has any tips on getting the booming bass and great front end sound back that I had before the Onkyo arrived in my living room.

Thanks!

If I were you, I would sell the Bose and buy some different speakers. I'm not even sure those speakers are compatible with the receiver. To be honest, Bose has a great marketing department because everyone thinks they are Gods gift to speakers, but I can recommend many other speakers are less expensive and will give you better sound.

I am sure this will open a huge can of worms... But...

If I was going to spend around $500 dollars on speakers, what would be recommended for a good combo of home theater and music?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290017 $150-37 = 113 dollars x 2 = $226.00

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290010 $150.00

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882290024 $109.00

226+150+109 = 485.00 You can't get better than this. Notice that there are promo codes on the links to get the extra $$$ off and this deal expires on 10/22. There are deals all the time at Newegg, so wait for something to come up.
