I have never read the books.
Truth is that I'm not into the whole vampire genre. I was about to cancel HBO, when I decided to watch TB's first epi, and I've been hooked ever since.

I think my favorite character is Layfette, and he's straight in real life too. Eric was on Generation Kill, he's hot also. What I like about TB is that there's something for everyone.

Seriously, I think Eggs is Maryanne!

I like Layfette it too, he his too funny.. I been hooked everysince the first episode as well.. The queen was watching it and wanted me to watch it with her, so I did, and been hooked..

I do like the Vamp genre, I like that whole scene. I love Vamp movies, hopefully they add some Werewolves.

That would be Goddess. She also played a key role, although a short one on Star Trek The Next Generation (Ensign Ro Laren). Actress Michelle Forbes.

Evil you say.. See I knew she had look like someone I use to watch.. Cool, I see she's a bit older. There was screwing the beatle dog/human shape shifter and a nude shower booty call shot in Second Season Premier that she did..

To those who are new to the TB show, here ya go.


Q: what is this based on?
A: True Blood is based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris. Season One followed the events in Book 1: Dead Until Dark. Season Two is loosely based on the events in Book 2: Living Dead in Dallas.



Q: What is a Maenad?
A: To simplify (very, very simple), a Maenad is an immortal female follower of Dionysus/Bacchus who thrived on the chaos created from drunkenness, excess, etc. There is speculation that one of the characters is a Maenad because Maryann/Callisto was in the books


Q: How does someone become a vampire in True Blood?
A: According to the books, one has to be drained to the point where there is only a spark of life remaining and then ingest vampire blood. The series shows the “victim” being buried until the change is complete and they awaken hungry.
