Walking Dead thread

Anyone watching this series on AMC? Pilot episode was OK, a little boring at times. This week's episode got much more interesting. I want to see how the story and chars unfold. io9 is reporting that AMC has confirmed that The Walking Dead has been renewed for an extended 2nd season.

Waz up Cygnus? I started watching because of your thread. It's really good, and I'm not a fan of zombie genre films. Sarah from "Prison Break" is it it, and I like her, also the black dude from 'Jericho" is in it. I was surprised that they only had 6 epi's, but they did the same thing with Breaking Bad too.

This show is well written, and intriguing. I watched the marathon on Sun to catch up with what I missed. Breaking Bad will be on every Weds too. I like rewatching really good tv shows.

BTW, I was so upset about the horse. He was just chillin in his field, and this mo fo just had to ride him to the city, yes?

A rather empty thread I started.

Yeah I enjoyed the series, altho the finale was pretty dumb. In case you don't know the series was based on a comic book. Some of the dialog and acting at times could have been better, e.g. the scene in which the woman (sarah from prison break?) was mourning over the death of her sister. .Some aspects of the show was interesting, e.g. how they realized how to make zombies think you are a zombie. I like zombie flix but since its AMD the show could not get too gory. Like most of the better TV series today, it was more like a zombie soap opera. Supposedly most of the writers have gotten fired. So next season could have a better arc.

Speaking of breaking bad, I watched the first 2 episodes the other day. Pretty good show, hilarious at times. If it ever comes to netflix streaming, I'll watch it.

Regarding the horse, he is lucky he did not get eaten by a zombie

I caught the marathon also and I will say I did enjoy it. I agree the last episode was lame but for a tv show I thought it was pretty gorey. I am looking forward to next season.

Looking forward to the 2nd season enhancing a few things. It needs to move a bit faster in storyline and I honestly could do with out alot of the soap opera attempts at drama that don't make me care one bit for any of the characters. Acting seems a bit subpar so I will give it another season and if I still feel the same, then I won't watch it...

That wasn't Sarah from PB who's sister died from the zombies feed baggin her. That was the the blonde from The Shield, she was the ICE agent that Vic helped.

Them escaping in the nick of time from the compound could've been better. Is the racist brother still alive?

I look forward to next season as well.

Just started watching this, love this show! I've always been a big fan of post-apocalyptic shows (such as Jericho) and I like Zombies.

BTW - I just read that the creator or spearhead behind it just quit unexpectedly although the second season will air there is a lot of turmoil surrounding the show now. OT:
Also netflix anounced a deal that will be bringing breaking bad to their streaming service

my bad it was mad men I was thinking of breaking bad still disc only. Sucks Frank Darabont stepped down on Walking Dead. Walking Dead premiere is Oct 16
