NFL Red Zone: for Comcast and Dish customers
Guess this is the same as the Red Zone channel you get with NFL ticket. It's the NFL's way of skirting around their 'exclusive' NFL ticket deal with DirecTV. I wonder what the price of this 'service' will be? |

If I were an avid football fan, I'd be very frustrated watching NFL Red Zone knowing I can't see the entire game because I don't have Sunday Ticket. How many more years do football fans have to put up with this exclusive BS? I think it should be outlawed myself.

If you are a Fantasy player, Redzone is great. You see every game live if they get inside the 20 yard line. If more than one game at a time is in the Redzone, you may have a recording that is a few seconds or minutes old. So what is my point. Unless you want to watch an out-of-market team, the NFL Package at 400/yr offers no extra value. Since if you had the NFL package, all you would do is move around to game to game when they were ready to score. No difference. Yes, Redzone at Dish is 5.99/month plus you get a bevy of other sports channels. This is a no-brainer as far as I am concerned.

The Deal was worked out with D* ReNewl Nfl agreement, so the NFL Owners could raise additional "strike" money if needed and if it's NOT needed then they can offer a product with a continued revenue Stream that will not count toward the "shared Revenue" Clause in the current union contract. The price will be drive by each independent Cable or TV service provider based on a consumers teir as with any other channel or service that is offered. Call and ask

What stinks is that this is being advertised as being broadcast in HD......so on an so forth...but on Comcast in Central Illinois it's burried in the SD digital quagmire.......I do get the Comcast Sports package....wish Comcast would bolster their frigging HD lineup..SOON!

if you guys keep paying for cable and sat there will be no more free football on tv. slowly but surely cable and sat are manipulating pro sport and college to pay tv to keep you paying. what was free will be no more because all of you are willing to pay for it. thats the reason. cable and sat is using pro sport as a strong hold to keep you paying for tv out of fear of hdtv which is clearer free and will provide more channels in the furture if you keep paying in 5 years no more free pro sports you will pay for every game you watch its a bussiness to make money. but you the consumer is in control if you stop paying you will be surprise what you can get ota. tv commerical already pay for sport for us when you go to the store. cable sat also want you to pay again. a few year a go you could watch all nfl and mlb playoff games on free tv know half is on cable/sat. all because (expect more to journey off to cable/sat) you are being reeled in, and you don't even realized it. the future is yours pay for it or enjoy ota hdtv with clear picture and which was made for over the air and not cable or sat.
