Just a few questions here since I do not know that much about Vizio other than the fact that they are increasing their market share in the USA. Its also my vague understanding that they have some outstanding
patent violation lawsuits pending, maybe I am wrong here.

But still, if I am right, and those patent violations are in the area of PDP, it might make good business sense to drop the PDP area of the business in case they lose in court. It makes good sense to cut your loses and it also does something to help call off the dogs from those pressing the law suit.

That suite is over the licensing of LG's V8SB technology the got when they bought Zenith. Every HDTV with a ATSC tuner has to pay LG a royalty, even if they are LCD HDTVs. I think their LCD supplier did the licensing and they assumed LG would take care of LG for the plasmas. It could be payback for filing the lawsuit though.
