Default LG gives Plasma a shot in the arm

Quote:
Contrary to many commentators predictions plasma seems to be staging a comeback in the flat panel arena. The Korean manufacturer LG along with the likes of Panasonic, Samsung and Pioneer are at the forefront of the renaissance.

I think as more people become aware of the better black levels with plasmas, and the much reduced risk of burn-in now, that plasmas will begin doing better with the more educated consumers IMO.

You won't believe the amount of plasma myths I debunk daily. People come in looking specifically for LCDs due to hearing that plasma needs to be "recharged" or that they don't last as long, etc.

I would not doubt that one bit. One of my employees came by my house and saw I had a plasma. He actually said that I was a brave person for having one. I asked him why and he said that when Plasmas get too hot the panels explode. He honestly believes that.
