Default Pics of eight different Blu Ray players and player recorders

http://www.blu-ray.com/players/

If you click on any one of the recorder models listed on the right, apparently there are 14 models of those, and the original eight are players...sorry about that.
I had no idea there were this many brands/ models.

According to this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional_Disc_for_DATA
Blu-ray recorders - know as PDD have been around for over 2 years - the technology appears to be "mature" IMO - just needing to be made cheaper for the consumer market - similar to what Sony did in marketing U-Matic in a consumer 1/2" format 30+ years ago - let's hope the consumer isn't bamboozled into adopting something inferior but cheaper to make - i.e. another VHS

maicaw, I think the articles reffering to Japanese Blu Ray recorders, with these all being so new, that a few don't even have model numbers yet.

I saw one of those Japanese model Blu Ray recorder/players at Ebay....for big money.

Either way, I am waiting a couple of years for one of the formats to become dominant.

Just like VHS and BETA.... Don't want to be the one holding a BETA player.
