Oh no, I am very sorry to hear this. As others here that knew he worked as a tax return preparer, I didn't suspect anything as a result of his very limited involvement during this time of the year but I hadn't noticed that he had no posts at all the last week or two, I would have been concerned if I had.

I know he had a wife and family including minor children from our frequent correspondence the last 6 years or so and I also know he will be missed by many of us. I liked Paul a lot and I don't think he or his family will mind if I suggest reading about aneurysms and the suspected causes. When I saw the title to this thread, my heart nearly stopped, then I got mad as I immediately suspected the cause of such a young man's passing before reading a word in the thread. Reading about aneurysms and how to prevent one, you will find this kind of information:

Quote:
Prevention
A large percentage of aneurysms are caused by arteriosclerosis - a vascular disease. The following steps will help prevent the development of arteriosclerosis and aneurysms:
Quit smoking
Keep your blood pressure under control
Keep your blood cholesterol levels under control
Eat a healthy, well balanced diet, rich in fruit and vegetables, unrefined carbohydrates, dietary fiber, good quality fats, and lean protein
Keep your bodyweight within the ideal limits for your height
Get at least 7 hours of good quality sleep each night
Keep yourself physically active (check with your doctor that this is OK for you)
R.I.P. Paul, you will be missed greatly by family, friends, clients, and all of us here.

I'm in shock. As others, I thought his absence was due to tax season. He will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his family.

It is so difficult to ponder that we will no longer be gifted with his offerings, my heart is so saddened with his passing.

I'm sorry to hear this, he was a really nice guy and while we didn't always agree I will definitely miss seeing his input pop up in the section I frequent most from time to time. RIP super moderator.

Like everyone else, I am shocked and saddened to hear this untimely news.
I believe PFC5's value to this forum as much as a contributing member as a Super Moderator will never be equaled.

When I logged on today, I couldn't believe the thread title, I really enjoyed his knowledge and how he could rise above the sometimes heated discussions.

I am truly saddened, so much I still find it hard to believe, we discussed him getting a 3D HDTV someday several times.

Damn this is just terrible!

I'm sitting here trying to think of something to type and I can't. I can't say anything meaningful or thoughtful. I'm stunned. It was only a couple weeks ago we were championing the rights of Netflix customers together. This is surreal.

I'm very, very sorry to the family and friends for your loss. Paul/PFC5 was an "internet friend" only, so unfortunately I never really knew him beyond the bounds forum comradery. But he was always a smart and straight-up guy. He will be missed.
