Not impressed. I suspect the 42" plasmas are 720p not 1080p. Sears had the TC-P42X1 earlier this summer for $599, so that BF ad isn't even as good as that price if that's the model.

Retailers are in for a shock this season, IMO. Even if the stock market has crawled out of the gutter, more people are broke and jobless than even last year. If they want to rescue the shopping season, they're going to have to do better than this.

You are correct Sir!! Just look at any store they skipped Holloween and thankgiving going straight to christmas stuff displayed starting 9/20/09
