Default Sony wants in on Vizio's turf

Quote:
Speaking to “market sources,” DigiTimes says Sony will introduce the “B Series” in 32-inch and 40-inch models, priced lower than the brand’s existing S-series. The 32-inch TV could cost the equivalent of $463, or even lower, according to the report.
Story

It's a harsh market these days, but it should be interesting to see what Sony will have to offer.

It shouldn't be CRAP, Sonys are overpriced as it is, their markup is incredible. And still a 32in for $463 is overpriced when every other brand out there has at least one 32in in their lineup for $399.

Default Vizio licensing patents to Sony

I just came across this story. It's a strange twist. Who knew Vizio owned any patents? I know Sony were in a patent dispute with Vizio so I imagine this is probably part of some settlement.

I dont know what the big deal is. My local Walmart is already selling Sony 32 inch tvs for $499. 20 OR 30 dollars cheaper wouldn't be worth it. Heck, even my local KMart has them for that price. I did say KMart!
