Brasil has started Terrestrial DTV using ISDB-Tb last Dicember 2nd 2007.

Presently only eleven channels are active in Sao Paulo emitting HDTV programming in simulcast with other eleven Analogic Pal-M channels.

The ISDB-Tb is an advanced, Brazilian proposed, japanese standard that uses new video H.264 AVC & new audio HE-AAC V.2

All eleven channels are broadcasting on 1080i 60fps 11Mbps in 6Mhz and on the same, 13 segments block, there is one segment that carries a small 320x180 30fps copy of the HD content for portables TVs ( on cars, bus and trains) and Mobile Phones 3GSM that is called 1Seg.

Starting in february, many HDTV channels will begin in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and other big cities.
The complete 1840 ISDB-Tb HDTV transmiters, spread all over Brasil, will start broadcasting up to 2012 and the analog stop is planned for 2016. Last edited by GekoBR; 01-18-2008 at 02:54 PM. |

Great HD video website
I found this website with a true high definition video section. A lot of recent high quality movie trailers are there!
Good site and fast video connection ... enjoy!  The name of the site is GOFELLA ... just do a search under "gofella high definition movie trailer video" under google. <sorry ... can't post URL here ... hope this is useful to someone> P.S. Wish YouTube is this good!
