Default T2 - Extreme DVD

Hi,

I see that T2 - Extreme DVD Special Edition came out and it saids Digitally mastered from a brand-new 1080p, 24sf high-definition digital telecine transfer for superior video and audio quality.

What kind of DVD player will handle 1080P ? My current DVD player is onkyo DV-SP1000 and TV using Sony 60" WEGA KDF-60XS955
using HDMI to HDMI. Will my DVD player play 1080P with that T2 DVD?

Or We need a dvd that can provide 1080P?

Thanks for your help.

T2 – Extreme DVD is a WMV HD DVD. As far as I know, T2 will only play on a fairly powerful computer with a DVD-ROM drive. You would have to hook a computer up to your Sony 60”. T2 requires a license download about once a week over the internet in order to play it. There are a few special stand-alone DVD players that play WMV HD DVDs, but not DVDs like T2 that require this license download (or online DRM). If you live outside the US or Canada, it’s possible you won’t be able to play it at all because of this online DRM.

Can you please be so kind and mention them, or you are talking about is the IO-DATA DVD player? because if you are, it does not play wmv-hd dvd yet.

From what I've read, the Avel Linkplayer 2 can play WMV HD DVDs with a firmware update. But when it comes to DRM, I'm not sure on that. I've heard of people making DVDs from TS files and WMV HD trailers, and 1 or 2 WMV HD DVDs that do not have DRM protection (such as Total Recall). But I haven't read anywhere as yet where they have been able to play the IMAX WMV HD DVDs for example.

The Zensonic Z500 has been delayed as it has had a few changes implemented namely HDMI and the remote has a joystick instead of the scroll wheel. There are more changes and added features which you can see at www.z500series.com

i can say that the dvd version on the t2 extreme dvd is still miles ahead in comparison to the ultimate dvd, cuz it uses the same tranfer as the 1080p one

http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/dvdcompare/term2.htm

compare the last 2 screens of each shot (non-HD extreme vs. ultimate) of course, the WMVHD one poops all over both dvds

Its not 1080i.....
My pc:
amd2000+
256 ddr ram
9600xt
winxp

I can play this movie perfectly fine. The resolution is that of the screenshots, 1440x816p. If your pc can handle 720p then im sure it could handle this movie.
