Making a HD movie question....

Are movies still being made on 35mm film? I have heard it's useing film and some say it's digital.

Nope, they are still using film and will for a long time. Nothing exists yet to record at the same size that film provides in digital. The movie would be massive. However, I think you might be thinking of the upcoming digital projectors. Which display in two sizes, about the same as HD, and twice the size as HD.

do they make the jump from film to digiatl? If thats what they are doing
why couldn't you do that to all movies. I just got the Day The Earth Stood Dtill and they show the difference. It still isn't HD but it's brighter for the want of a better word.

There are a few directors who have made the switch to HD cameras and while film will be around for a while, there will be an ever increasing movement towards the use of HD cameras. Superman Returns was made entirely with HD cameras.
