Default DivX HD Material to Test My System

I have a DivX enabled DVD player hooked up to my Panasonic TH-42PV500 via HDMI and want to try some HD material to see how it looks. The only DivX files I have found so far are short trailers and the (presumably illegal) movies I see on the net seem to be .ts files, whatever they are. This is really just for a demo but I'd like to find something like a full length movie or at least some more interesting material to play with. I am assuming that my player will just read the AVI file recorded as data on a DVD. Any pointers would be gratefully received. Thanks.

I have a yamaha DIVX player (S550) but it won't play HD material. Just moans about the resolution being too high or something along those lines.

Wonder if it will be upgradable to play HD files.

Anyone know?

My Samsung player looks like it will cope with HD but I am assuming only in DivX format. The model is DVD-HD850 and it has HD stickers plastered all over the case so I'm going to be pretty disappointed if it won't!

Well fingers crossed for you, ive tried a few DIVX HD films transferred to DVD's myself and none of them play, just standard DIVX resolutions. Mine doesnt mention its HD compatible though, just thought i'd try it.

I'm sure yours will be fine if it states its HD compatible.
