Default burning HD on DVD for sony blu ray player

Hello.
I have a Sony BDP-s550 blu ray player.
I am trying to burn clips (such as the ones you have here) on DVD so that I can see them on my player.
I am using software like tsmuxer, and burning on the DVD as a avchd or blu-ray disc.
Unfortunately, I can't get the video to play correctly on the player.
I always get a garbled \ distorted picture (the sound is okay).

Does anyone have any experience with burning files for use with this specific player (or other Sony players)?

Thank you.

Default Burning High Definition on DVD

I was going crazy trying all these programs and reading all this stuff on getting high definition on DVD. I think I found the answer. And I joined just so that I could help others. First I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9. It is probably about $70.00. I tried rendering to HD, downloading programs, etc. Then I stumbled across a very simple solution. Take your high def files .mts or m2ts and put them into the timeline (I did no editing but it can be done, just have not had the time). When I started the program, I dropped down the window for output type to Blu-Ray Disc (1080i). Then after getting my clips together, I went straight to "Make Movie" (I did not render as any type - just straight to "Make Movie"). I then chose to make DVD. I keep markers in and use the widescreen DVD format (may work without but did not try it). Then I put the video file in any folder (I usually use a folder that is easy to go to) and it is a mpg file (yes a mpg file), then I go to the same folder to put the AC3 file in. Then I hit next and it starts making the movie. After it is done (which does not take that long - I have Vista 64 with 6GB memory) make sure that you click on send to DVD Architect Studio (which comes with Sony Platinum 9). Set the structure up as you want and burn the DVD. That is it. If it is not high definition, it is the closest thing that I have found without a blu-ray burner. I have a new panasonic plasma that I plug the card from my Cannon HFS 100 straight into the tv for unbelievable playback. Well, the DVD I just made using this method looks the same. Finally after struggling with this for a few weeks I think this is the answer. Like I said, I joined to try and spare others the headaches with high definition. I hope it helps. Gary
