Bright Stage Media, a new company formed this year by home entertainment and technology vets Randy Malinoff and Brian Johnson, has developed a BD-Live e-commerce application that will allow viewers to get information about, share and buy select items they see in Blu-ray Disc movies. The company said the technology will be used on a major studio Blu-ray release in August, though it would not specify the title.
