Downloaded the mts file and viewed it on my machine. Nowhere near the same as the m2v file. other than hand shake and some rapid pans, it was fine. But the hand shake and pans have nothing to do with watching the video on a PC.

I think its coming down to your laptop is just not up to the demands.
