VC-1 can be fine, but WTF are they thinking using a 1.5mbps 16 Bit TrueHD track?
How friggin behind the curve is that? |

A BD vs HD Trailer comparison can be found at avsforum[dot]com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=15137857#post15137857
Hmmmm, seems like they're really dropped the ball on the PQ of the BD release. Makes me wonder if it's worth holding off for a re-release

Didn't Sony do that with the Stranger than Fiction re-release? Apparently there was no discernable difference at all between that and the lossless PCM audio.

With that said, I believe all these "issues" will not be noticed by the majority of the consumers.

But it probably could have sounded bombastic with more data, and looked better with less tinkerage. But, I digress until it releases........... |

It depends on the master. If the studio recorded it as 16bit the BD would be better off being 16bit. If the movie was 24bit, I am not sure why Warner Home Video went with a 16bit.
