What about this newer technology I heard of that does not require the glasses to view? What is the principle behind this tech?
My depth perception is more limited but I still have some depth perception.

I don't think that 3DTV is going to be your cup of tea due to not having stereoscopic vision.

Even the glasses-less 3DTV that Phillips is working on "targets each eye" which may not work for you.

How does it look compared to "Space Station" in IMAX 3D? I was told very much the same things when that came out and it still didn't look very convincing to me--more like multi-plane animation than real 3D depth.

I'm perfectly prepared to believe it's my eyeglasses, but if it is, lots of people are going to have issues with 3D at home--I can't even imagine buying a new HDTV and player for that purpose...

IMO, U2 3D is the best 3D I have ever seen - it is that good - and I have seen almost all of the IMAX 3D films.

I don't wear glasses (except to read) so I don't know how they affect the viewer watching a 3D presentation.

I found this description of lenticular printing

This sounds similar to Phillips 3D but I'm sure there is more involved with moving images as opposed to still.

Anyways, even though I have monoscopic vision I can see the lenticular 3D image.

I dont think it does, but I assume it'll be based off the 3DTVs theyve shown in the past.

In the video - he did mention that there is a Lenticular Lens covering the display. . . . and no glasses.

I can't comment on that because I have never seen 3D done that way.
