To be fair to Chris, I think what he MEANT with his comment is that BD is not for everyone, and would be of higher value to someone WITH a larger HDTV to get the full enjoyment worth the premium price people have to pay for BD over SD DVD.

Of course that is what will limit BD in the marketplace until everyone can have cheap larger screen HDTVs too.

I understood what he meant, but I was just giving a friendly jab (which he cant take apparently) because of the way he chose to word the above statement.. Its abundantly obvious that for Blu-Ray to sell, people need HDTV's, big or small..

I thought my jabbing was clear, unfortunately it was not and even after rectifying my previous statements he chooses not to repsond to this thread

This thread has taken a very comical turn!

If I come home and find my PJ and screen gone, I will blame Chris!

No, people don't need to buy them, why would they care if Blu-ray sells well? The point is that for Blu-ray to sell well that is what is needed, not that anybody needs to do anything for the sake of Blu-ray. I don't see my statement as that difficult to understand.

I won't bother to answer the next stupid question on this point, the stupid misinterpretations of my statement seem to be deliberate.

It doesnt help with people like this getting equally serious with your comment.

I picked the Blu-ray up after work today (came out last week here) so will pop some impressions on later on when I've watched it decided it's been a month, time for another BD
