Default A HATE FOR BLUERAY GADGETS! Sony VS Eidos 20 BD

SONY announced the new BDP-S5000ES Blu-ray Disc player, featuring the company's newly developed HD Reality Enhancer and Super Bit Mapping technologies that deliver even sharper and more vibrant images from today's Blu-ray Disc movies.

The model, which is fully BD-Live capable, features an Ethernet connection that allows users to connect to the Internet via their existing service provider to access BD-Live features and easy firmware updates. (thats what HDDVD offered @ less then $2000. price tag) It also is equipped with an external flash memory port and includes a 1GB Sony Micro Vault™ Tiny flash storage device. (copying apple tv now?)
The BDP-S5000ES also features Quick Start mode, improving boot-up times to approximately six seconds, which is seven times faster than previous models.

Now for a superior model that kicks Sony's platic models....

Goldmund an amazing Bluerayplayer has come out with the Eidos 20 BD, a Blu-ray player that offers an "AC-Curator" power supply circuit which dramatically improves picture and sound stability and dynamics, "Mechanical Grounding" construction which removes from the player mechanism spurious vibrations blurring the video signal and increasing jitter and "Magnetic Damper" a device lowering reading errors. The Eidos 20 BD is priced at $16,900. So why buy a cheap Sony blueray player with all the above junk when you can morgage your house and get this player with also a great audio sacd. Comon blueray freaks its worth all the money......In brief I do not love digital, but rather enslave it to better protect delicate analog signals where life for them (DIGITAL) is difficult...can't wait for BLUERAY to be crushed and re-formated as absolete!

Judging by some of the loans they allowed, I would say you have a shot at it.
