Beating the system is an interesting game. I've dipped into Piracy (copying and playing copies of my own games) just to test out my mods.

I have a modified Xbox1 that has all the bells and whistles. I wanted to mode my 360, but there really was no reason (lack of games) and then I got RRoD and was glad I never opened it up.

PS3...only mods I do are linux based. A format/restore solves any mistakes I do.

Many hack for just to try and break security. Personally I have no interest in modifying consoles to run ISOs. I merely wait for software to drop to a price I consider worth it (if I won't pay full price).

I used to play a lot of ISOs on my Dreamcast (still spent all my spare money on legit software) but I found no enjoyment in them and would pop them on for 10 mins, go "ooh thats quite nice" then chuck it on a spindle for a "proper play" later. I didn't get around to playing them properly til I purchased them legitimately. I find it a lot more satisfying playing proper software.

I do things the opposite way to most as well though, I buy a game I like the look of, if I then decide it's rubbish or whatever, I sell it on to someone else who wants it. The developer sees no money this way (from me selling it on) therefore the fee I gave them to develop a game I didn't like, technically gets passed onto the next person.

If the game had been better, I wouldn't have sold it, therefore it'd have been one less pre owned copy floating around meaning someone else who wanted it would have to buy it new
