$0.7 in billions is $700 million, or 3.5 times all the money made by Blu-ray in 2008.

For new products sales in the 3rd and 4th quarter are always around 250% higher than they are in the first half of the year. So yes I do think Blu Ray will makes sales of 500 million in the 2nd half. |

$500 mil? That's easy. Look at what mostly crap releases came out so far this year.
We still have Transformers, The Dark Knight, Matrix Trilogy, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, and many more. I'd say they can easily double what they've done the first six months with those titles and more. |

Does BD get to finish the year or we just going to add up the total now and say good enough? Universal just got into the game yesterday, they might sell something. Ironman, Transformers, Godfather, TDK, Wall-E and the rest of the big hits coming out might sell a couple of copies as well.

Guess what Dare just because one movie made more then Blu-ray has made doesn't mean anything I mean guess what all those movies will be on Blu-ray not HD-DVD and they will help improve the numbers for Blu-ray not HD-DVD and guess what the movies made more then HD-DVD has made period while blu-ray is going to continue to make more and more money while HD-DVD is basically done making money since no more movies will be coming for it anymore.

"What is the revenue number for the first six months for BD?" And he replied: "North of $200 million." *sniff* . . . . something smells. |

I'm not understanding the problem some people are having here. The fact that BD is in DVD's ballpark with sales figures despite obstacles such as HD DVD and HDTV penetration should say something. However it seems to some to say something other than the logical answer.
