What's the file extension? Did you DL the codec pack?

Check out the "how to" on you tube for all the codec packs.

There's nothing it doesn't support.

.avi + HD resolutions do not usually make good bedfellows.

See if you can convert it to x.264 or h.264. Both of those work really well. Also, make sure you've adjusted the hex so that TVersity never transcodes anything to MPEG-1. It's easy to do if you find a walkthrough. It's only about 4 lines of code.

Sweet. Any recommendations for programs that will convert it?

There are many avi to VOB converters out there.

Google one up.

I use Nero for a lot of conversion. mkv2vob is handy for the few x.264 files that TVersity won't transcode well.

Man, I'm a PITA. I just dled a high def (720) The Mummy Trailer. It's a Quicktime file (.mov) and the PS3 keeps telling me that the data is corrupt, though it plays (crappily) on my computer. Any ideas?

Go into Add/Delete programs and take out everything TVersity related including the codec packs.

Google up a 'TVersity to PS3' walkthrough, and follow it to the tee. Install everything in the order they specify and change the couple lines of hex to disable the MPEG-1 transcoding.

You may want to get your hands on a copy of Dreamweaver for the hex, but you can do it in Notepad, it's just not as easy on the eyes.

That's what I had to do to get all the bugs out of mine. Took a good 90 minutes of grinding on the internet to configure it, but now my PS3 and PC are media dream machines. No file is rejected and I'm getting 1080p streamed to from my PC to my Plasma through the PS3. You can even check out the bitrate and whatnot.
