Yeah, Tarantino definitely popularized its use in films though.

Please. Elaborate.

Pulp Fiction was pretty good. After that, what was there?

I just haven't seen any of his work that I wasn't content with. Not to say that all his films are epic, but everything that I've seen of his has been very entertaining. All the way up to his most recent Grindhouse movies, I've been impressed.

What is it about his movies that bugs you?

There was Kill Bill, which included:

-An awesome anime scene
-Chicks fighting
-Well-constructed, tightly-edited action scenes
-A multitude of genre-sampling and odes to old movies
-Clever dialogue
-An awesome soundtrack which draws on a wide selection of music

The Kill Bill movies were alot of fun but they bite from so many different movies it's painful to watch at certain parts. If you're a fan of asian cinema, especially 70's Japanese movies, you know what I mean. It was so awesome seeing a non-horror American movie with tons of over-the-top blood spray, though. Seriously, the last movie to have good blood spray like that was over 20 years old when Kill Bill came out.

No.

He is not over rated at all. The man simply does not make bad movies.

Reservoir dogs-For a director's debut film and with a $60,000 budget i think this was a great heist movie. It has some rough edges but i think Tarantino was still finding his style.

Pulp Fiction- Cult classic, enough said!

Jackie Brown- Sharp dialogue, some nice twists and turns, and full of great actors giving great performances . No Pulp Fiction admittedly but still a very good film by anyone's standards.

Kill Bill- Fantastic genre fusing, martial arts epic. Plenty of fantastic fight scenes, some beautiful cinematography all accomponied by another mesmerizing soundtrack. IMO Tarantino's best film.

Death proof-When seperated from the grindhouse version i think the extended version of this film stands up well on its own. There are some fantastic car stunts (especially considering no C.G.I used),and i loved seeing the dodge challenger from vanishing Point being used. IMO this also has the best soundtrack of any Tarantino movie. Eveybody likes a bit of "Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky , Mick and Tich" now dont they!

You apparently visit Tarentino's church or wash his cars or something because Resevoir Dogs really wasn't that great and Jackie Brown was just ok too.

Different tastes for different folks.. sheesh!

I enjoy the hell out of Tarantino films. His flicks are must-buys for me. To sit here and call his work shit and then poll about it? Bullshit! One could do the same with anime. Some love it, some hate it.

As for Kill Bill, I am not going to double dip on these. I am very content with UC on these.
