Nice screen size MS. Excellant looking PQ. Congrats!

Just curious if that Auralex sound isolater really makes a difference or not?

Here you go Goofnut, I finally got that Panny mounted. It's a bad pic but it will have to do for now.

Nice photo of your system. I would recommend you raise your front speakers a bit higher, about 1/2 their height higher to put them at the ideal height.

Also, wall mount your center channel directly beneath the TV. That will aid in hearing dialog and make the soundstage much better. Open and airy.

See the attached, modified picture -

Oooh now that is a very nice set mytime. This makes me wish that Black Friday would hurry up and get here. I will definitely be looking for some HDTV deals.

Default Underground theather

Hi folks,

After few years..it's getting ready. Lot's of work with walls and floor etc. but it was worth it. PS3 and Sanyo PVZ-700 creates beautiful picture (size a bit over 2,5 meters), Planet Earth was jaws dropping..

Sound is handled by Sony DG520 and Tannoy EFX 5.1 set.

Most important detail is the beer cooler..

What's that black thing in the bottom right corner of your pic??? It looks like R2D2..

Nice job. Hide the wires though, it will look 100% better...

R2D2 look-alike is the beer cooler... Does not speak, but provides the liquid fun.

Default Question concerning HDMI

This is prob. in the wrong department..but:

Does anyone happen to kone whether PS3 and Sanyo PVZ-700 works together with 1080p/24?. If I switch PS3 to 1080p on the display flickers every approx. 5 seconds. No problems with 1080i. I have pretty long HDMI cable (7 meters), good quality (I hope..) but could it cause the problem?

Nice clean setup!

I agree with L2W that you should try to raise the front speakers some and keep the center channel at the same height as the L/R Mains. I would also suggest that you spread the L/R mains further apart and you will be amazed at how much the front sound stage improves and imaging improves. Even moving them apart another 1' each would improve imaging dramatically from the center seating position. I couldn't believe the improvement when i did this myself.

How do you like that new Panny? What did you replace and how much better is it?
