I have most of the HT system moved into the closet until I get the trim up around the windows.
![]() Also my GF just got a cat, here's the little f^cker walking around on the wooden beams. ![]() I've got some Cherry I cut down drying out and my neighbor has a full woodworking shop, not the Homo Cheapo stuff but real equipment, and does custion cabinets. Not sure if there's any other woodwackers here but let me tell you how nice it is to use a 18hp 30" helical jointer or a 16" tablesaw. I'm getting ready to build a custom entertainment center to replace that wallyworld stand.

When all they do is play the PS2 or 360 changing channels isn't required. Actually that's a loaner that I don't think they want back, lol. I had a 35" Mitsy for them but one of the boards went. I have a 32" LCD mounted to the wall in the master bath I wasn't about to take down and another 32" PT in the master bedroom. When they went to move the TV from the MB they yanked the coax connetor out of the back, it was a wallyworld special that only had one connector. When I tried to fix it I found the tunner was shorted out. So that was all I could find on short notice to avoid the dreaded "I'm bored".

my family had a knob-tv back in the day. my friend and i figured out that if you pinned the knob on the inside of a PVC pipe just right, you could twist the pipe and the knob. best remote control ever.

My dad would just smack me on the back of the head and say "boy go over there and change the channel". Instant remote control.

All I have a decent pic of is the bedroom set-up. Took them for my bro who wanted to see it. The main set-up is VERY boring looking. And my basement HT system is not done yet. Not started yet. Still in my head.... LOL.
Here's the bedroom.

I remember holding the rabbit ears antenna with the wads of tin-foil ( note I said tin foil not aluminum wrap ) Long ago and far away good times though.

50 Points for anyone who has a picture of a set of rabbit ears with tin foil on them. Anyone else here use a large loop of copper wire for UHF? Not sure if it helped but it made sense to me, if small steel worked OK then large copper should be better, right?
