Blu-Ray power hungry?

HD-DVD does much better with power consumption because Broadcom came up with a chipset that helps it be more frugal. If not for Broadcom then HD-DVD would hog as much. My guess is that Broadcom may now adapt those chips for BD to lower the power consumption in notebooks.
