If anyone has any links to online stores or know of stores like Best Buy etc. that have some big HD DVD movie sales, tell us here on this thread! I would like to build my collection so I can use them for years to come. Sure many more HD DVD owners have the same idea.

I'm thinking ebay is our best chance. People rushing to get rid of them.
Retailers will probably keep them at 20$-30$ waiting for their shelves to clear. But their have been a few websites offering 10-15$ on HDDVDs BEFORE this recent Toshiba dropping news.

If I can get HD-DVDs for $5 each, I am so tripling my collection.

"DeepDiscount . com" (leave out the spaces inside the quotes & the quotes since this mindless forum won't let me enter the correct spelling) has a bunch of titles at $12.20 right now. I just ordered 2 . .

I'll probably be putting up my player and movies in the for sale section sometime tonight. Figure 11 bucks per title and 50 for the player. Package deal though, I'm not hassling with splitting them all up.

I'm more interested in players to keep my current HD DVDs playing for a long time. I want an A35 for $150... wonder if I'll be able to get it.

Even though Im blu I never quite understood why people are selling all their HDDVD's. Do you guys just want your shelf to look neat or something?
If it were me I would buy a Blu Ray player, and once prices get low replace it with a high end dual format player. Then stick the BD player on another TV in the house. |

Anyway, despite the recent events, I am still hoping to expand on my HD DVD collection, unlike some other fair-weather HD DVD supporters. I hope these pre-ordered HD DVDs don't get canceled: American Gangster* Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford, The* Bee Movie Beowulf Brave One, The* Fletch In The Valley Of Elah Invasion, The* Michael Clayton No Reservations Things We Lost in the Fire Justice League: The New Frontier Kite Runner, The Appleseed Ex Machina August Rush Before the Devil Knows You're Dead Twister * I think these are already pressed so they probably won't be canceled I also want these announced titles that aren't up for pre-order yet (that fact alone makes it more at risk of being canned): Patriot Games Sum of All Fears Clear and Present Danger Hunt For Read October, The Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street I Am Legend Charlie Wilson's War And these movies I expect to hit home before June, but haven't yet been announced (hopefully they will be): Atonement There Will Be Blood Cloverfield That being said, I still hold on to whatever hope is left for a major surprise announcement/comeback from the HD DVD Promo Group. But with the recent headlines, I am prepared to go down with the ship. I absolutely refuse any life jackets. With any luck, I'll have a collection of at least 300 or so HD DVDs.
