Do they even sell brands like Tucher, Paulaner, Franziskaner, and Julius Echter in Germany? And I wonder how different they are from how us Americans get them. Hefe is my fav. beer but almost no places serve it around here. An "Irish" pub used to serve Franziskaner but no longer. I have had some other brands not listed but can't remember them right now. I'm sure the stuff we get sucks.

Yeah, Tucher, Paulaner and Franziskaner are all well known brands here. Never heard of Julius Echter though, might be a regional thing.

I love my Hefe from Schöfferhofer, especially the dark kind.

And speaking of dark beers, i also recommend some Schwarzbier, Köstritzer is especially delicious. Guess i bring a few of them with me next time i drop by HDB&G.

Do you guys use any fruit in the hefe? I like an orange slice to go along with it.

Well some do like that, i don't.

I like my Hefeweizen to have a lot of unfiltered yeast, as we say "naturtrüb", featuring a nice, think layer of yeast in the bottle or, if one likes it, in the glass. Yummy!

Too bad i have to work else i would pour me one right now.

Since this weekend is Memorial Day weekend, I figure the bar will be packed this weekend so The Highdef Bar and Grill will need some bouncers. How about these two. The blonde scares me so I know I will behave. LOL

Try raw chicken livers for those catfish, gets 'em everytime. Hotdogs can be hit or miss.. usually miss in my experience..

I do a LOT of fishing, mainly smallmouth bass and walleye, some catfishing, and striper.
Fish mainly the Susquehanna river, but hit some small local lakes every once in a while

I'll have a Yeungling draft please
