So we caught a few of them and used them as live bait. They last much longer than a shiner and can move the float around. I Already caught a 2 lb LM Bass this way.

So I had the idea of trying to net a whole bunch of them at once using the bagel. First time I did it it worked great - got 4 of them.

Now - as soon as I come to the waters edge - no matter how much floating bagel is in front of them - they will not move a mm. Soon as I go back on the grass . . . they attack the bread. THAT is not dumb by any means.

2. Collecting stuff - which I love to do. And fishing stuff definitely somes under that heading because . . . technology does help in the battle (see #1).
I'll buy a round. I was going to make some smart reply to this and the Blu Surfs but I'll play nice. OK just one quick question for you Lee, who do you think catches on quicker, the fish or (insert Blu name here).?

I'm sorry, I actually get them from uselessjunk.com. Your Lan probably has them blocked at work too. Might try it cause they have some sfw sites.

I hear ya. I'm about 90% ready to sell my truck and get a gas saver. This is getting crazy, spending $100+/month on gas now. Money I save on gas would even out the higher monthly payment.

Yah, what's up with diesel? It's cheaper to produce than gasoline and heating oil season is about over. Oh yeah, I forgot it's taxed at a higher rate than gasoline because, well, because it is.

For those of you who rant and rave about the oil companies, why not ask why the government doesn't reduce fuel taxes when fuel prices go nuts due to supply/demand issues?

If everyone thinks things are bad now with gas prices, just wait until the impact of high diesel fuel costs on the truck transport of goods hits.

And if you live on the East Coast, most of the electricity is generated by burning diesel and electric demand skyrockets in summer...

It is cheaper to produce but it takes more oil to make a gallon of deisel. Which in turn doesn't make any sense cause it should have been higher than gas all along.
