Hey Rizz, by the way, I had my annual review at this shitty agency and not only did I NOT get ANY kind of raise, he also said the healthplan for my daughter and I was too expensive and he wanted me to find a plan for the two of us that had a HIGH deductible.

I said fine, don't pay my health insurance anymore and keep my daugther's because I don't want to change her plan. Then he went on some rant about how he doesn't understand why employers pay for health care anyway.

The end result is that he wants me to pay for the difference in cost between the cheap plan that he finds for my daugther, and the plan that she currently has.

That truly does suck. My employer pays my health insurance for one reason only. He knows that someone else will if I jump ship. He understands that to get and keep good people you have to offer more than the other guy does. I know it's easy for me to say, but you should probably start looking elsewhere. Btw, I am a regional manager and despise micromanaging. If someone is trained properly IMO it is not needed. I admit some people have to be told how to do everything, but the majority thrive in a workplace where they are given responsibility and not having some one standing over their shoulder waiting for them to f#ck up.

Before I was asked to leave Nationwide. They had their annual Kick off breakfast ( you know the one where they bring everyone in for a big catered Breakfast and Lunch(or shoulf I say Lynch) and they procede to tell you the state of the Company. Well at our breakfast they first comgratulated us because we managed ( in the last few years) to pull the Company out of the RED in NY and into the Black, as a matter of fact they said that for the first time in the company's history they posted over 3 Billions dollars. I turned to a SUIT next to me and in my usually Brooklyn type manor proceded to rant about what a Fk'n we got we busted or asses to acheive this and they decided that after a highly rated PE (progress evaluation) that I was to be awarded with a 1.3% salary increase and they made 3 Billion $$$ I went Fk'n balastic I cursed they higherups responsible for making these asshole decisions and said they had some Fk'n balls to invite me here for this BS Breakfast meeting and what they should have done was to amply reward the people responsible for acheiving this feat with a fair and reasonable salary increase or at least an appropriate cost of living increase keeping up with quickly elevating cost in the surrounding areas. I told him, but I'll bet some scumbag SUIT got not only a big raise but an equally large Bonus for his "involvement" which was probably nothing more than pushing a pencil and jiving numbers. He then proceded to introduce himself as the Home office finanical coordinator and I think he expected me to apoligize or at least back off, but I figured I was already Fk'd so I continued ranting til one of the NY State mgr pulled me away and tried to calm me but it was to late, the fuse had already burned to the quick and I wasn't being accepting being told to "Cool it" Needless to say I was escorted out of the BREAKFAST and lead off into another room, my immediate supervisor said " Holy Shit what the F were you thinging especially after you found out who this guy was"? I had a couple of Jack Daniels which he poured in an attempt to calm me down some. I was the called back into the conference center where this same SUIT was now on the podium, except this time he was trying to BS his way out of how the salary increases were determined, at this time my Mgr told me to take the rest of the day off..Make a long story short I was called into our regional Mgr's office a few days later and told that after a careful study and review of my PE, my salary was being adjusted to 5.5% wow big Fk'n deal. I guess I ruffled a few feathers but in the end this business is just about the BOTTOM LINE NUMBERS and unfortunately we are just a NUMBER to them and nothing personal matters.

The company I work for is changing big time. They hired a Human Resources team after the founder passed away. And Lawyers are running the show.
Doe anyone have evidence that a Human Resources department has ever helped a company?
