Work is going. I'm on lunch break right now. I'll be hanging around reading posts, probably wont have many opportunities to post though.

Junk - recall I mentioned I get some pretty powerful headaches myself. I maybe don't get cluster headaches....but just plain migraines. Many times though, I'll have a 3-5 day period where they come in waves. No rhyme or reason..

Anyway - I have this prescription medication called Maxalt-MLT 10mg.
I pop one of those as soon as I feel a migraine coming on. They work pretty damn good for me. Initially - my doc wanted me to take a form of depression medication....I refused. My dad got all screwed up on that sort of stuff.

I was reading on some meds and I think that one mentioned in conjunction with some other meds. Mine are strange, my left eye starts watering the side of my face starts swelling and closes of my nasal passage on the left side. I kinda looks like I have a mild stroke. They run in cycles, starting with very short and light headaches, building to very extreme headaches. I'll get one a day and they last 45minutes to an hour, then I'll start getting 2 a day and increase in pain. Sometimes lasting for 2 hours. After they peak usually between 4 to 6 weeks they go away and I might not get another for 3 years.

When you go to post and it starts doing it hit the post reply button again. I just did it and it worked without kicking me off that time.

My wife had a prescription for maxalt also. It really seemed to help her out with migraines. Went to refill and our insurance changed, it was going to be something like $150/pill. Lady told me it was $800ish for the bottle she had . Told her she could shove it.

Ouch, thats expensive. All the research I've done says the meds for migraines won't work for cluster headaches and vice versa. I've even read of people having surgery to help them.

No way. My insurance has a copay. I pay $30 for 12 tablets. I get unlimited refills for 1 year. Hell, maybe my insurance isn't so bad after all??
