Yes - seems plant breeding is dominated by guys, but certainly I do know some gals that are in that field of work.

Just got here myself. Junkie is eating and Rizzo is trying not to get hammered.
And I'm drinking Rum. No surprise there.

Nope. Tomorrow night. I'll post a photo of the contenders maybe tonight. If not for sure tomorrow.
Need to find a bottle of Appleton's to add to the mix.
Two of my sub-contractors are coming over. I know one can drink me under the table. And maybe the other one can too.

I'm having some Blue Moon Summer Ale...

I've had better beer...but I've had worse. I mean, it's typical better than mass produced A. Busch...but it's really pretty sweet which is not my bag for beer. (damn Japanese Beetle just flew down my shirt)

I like a beer that tastes slightly grainy and plenty of hops.
I like to drink like this....

One thing's for sure. Homer knows how to drink.

Here are the contenders for the blind tasting:
Flor de Cana Centenario 21 (15 yr. old)
Ron Zacapa XO (25 years)
Pyrat cask 23 (23-40 years)
Pampero Anniversario (4-6 years)
More may be added by tomorrow.

Brenner - are you serious about the age of this stuff? If so - that's gotta be awesome. Where you get that stuff? How does the "really aged" stuff compared to a new batch?

I'm glad you posted that about the blue moon, I just about bought some the other day. I'm not into sweet tasting beers myself.

I was waiting for the Cubs game to start (on TV) and it's a rain delay in Atlanta I guess. I mean to say - postponed. Double header tomorrow. That'll be weird.

Otherwise - just having some beers. The locusts (Cicadas) are going crazy outside.

They make a hell of a lot of noise this time of night.
Hate them damn things...
