No - I'll take a look. I love one hit wonders. I have this rock catalogue from about 1981. It is from A-Z and has everything you could ever want. It also has a section in the back of "honorable mentions" Great, great stuff. I think what is fun about the book is how the authors viewed certain "new artists" that have now gone on to become huge. You should see their review of Aerosmith. Basically call them washed up....look what happened to them.

You missed Estelle Getty.

My family and her family were very close when I was growing up. Her older son Carl - 2 years older than me, is I believe the youngest graduate of Columbia University.

Their real last name is Gettleman

Cool!

What a terrible waste - Carl Gettleman. He was measured at "high genius" level on the scale. He meets an native indian girl in his last year at Columbia and goes to some place out west - Arizonoa or New Mexico and spends the rest of his adult life living on a "kabootz."

Barry - her younger son at one time was the Queens County Commish. of Planning - a very important political job. But he didn't last.

Here husband - Arthur first had a body and fender shop and years later sold it (sort of) and started making plexiglass art.

Estelle - as a method of getting away from Arthur (they never divorced - they were estranged) took up acting out in the Hamptons doing summer stock and met Harvey Firestein who introduced her to Hollywood.

She died of demensia - her mind gone.

My mom was friends with Estelle and Arthur for over 50 years.

Hmmmm . . .

I was doing some searching on Edgar Winter and came across something very interesting. When he formed his most successful band - The Edgar Winter Group - Dan Hartman was a part of that band.

He did Instant Replay and I Can Dream About You and is known for playing all the instruments and vocals in his own songs - a true one man band.
