I learn so much here, I did not know that.
Mel has been around for a really long time, yes?
Do you know how old he is?

We had a tomcat (well he had his family jewels whacked off.) stray in. He had been someone's house cat. He had short hair and he was grey and black striped. My daughter said he was pretty, well that name stuck. He stayed with us for almost 9 years. He was a large cat, weighed about 12lbs or so. He would get excited when you picked him up or would pet him and he would drool. In the winter he always wanted in the house on cold nights. I would give him a bath and let him stay inside. He got to the point that when he wanted to come in and stay for a day or so, he would dart through the door and run to the bathroom and hop in the shower so he could get a bath so he could stay inside. He would stay inside for a couple days and then he would want to go back out. He was a great cat. He wondered off and died. He is missed. He was a one of a kind cat. I really liked him and I'm not a cat person.
